Following the CEDA Grand Prix Awards on April 8th 2011; ABDA are pleased to announce that we have been awarded runners up in both nominated categories!

ABDA are proud to announce our nominations for the CEDA Grand Prix Awards - To be announced at the CEDA gala dinner on April 8th 2011.

ABDA Creative Design and Build - Road Chef - Hot Food Co

Brief – following a pitch to the client, the brief was to redesign the free flow Restbite servery across the Road Chef Estate to improve the customer experience, value and quality of service and food, which meant overcoming historical customer perception of motorway service area food service.

Judges Comment – Thanks to a careful choice of equipment and clever design work the client claims to be seeing an increase of 30% in revenue coupled with a reduction in costs and waste and the public have a much higher quality dining experience.

ABDA Creative Design and Build – Perse Upper School Kitchen and Servery replacement

Brief – To work with the School and the Caterers to design and supply a new and larger catering facility within the constraints of an existing building and surrounding areas. The design process also involved ABDA in applying for planning consent on behalf of the school.

Judges Comment – This project appeared to necessitate ABDA “thinking outside the box” to achieve what the client wanted.
