Hilton Garden Inn: Birmingham Brindleyplace
ABDA were appointed to develop and detail a new industrial botanical concept for the Hilton Garden Inn chain of hotels. We detailed the full interior scheme for the reception, bar & restaurant and coordinated the FF&E, joinery and lighting details for the refurbishment of the Birmingham hotel, along with the Hilton Garden Inn Glasgow and Bristol sites.
We took inspiration from industrial finishes combined with natural botanical forms to build a scheme of timber, raw steel and green and grey hues. We created a cosy lounge feel throughout to unify what were 3 separate areas so patrons felt comfortable to use all spaces to dine and drink.
Special features included fully upholstered chesterfield style booths and banquette seating, raw steel credenzas, dining tables and bar displays along with exposed filament light bulbs and brick & timber wall cladding.
We oversaw the refurbishment of the hotel and completion by the main contractor was on time and within budget. Additional botanical art wall features have now been designed following the success of the scheme to develop the concept of the restaurant further.
