St Helen’s School Dining Area
We were approached by the prestigious contract catering company Holroyd Howe to deliver a complete refurbishment of the dining hall and servery area at St Helen’s School in Greater London. The brief was to create a striking design that would improve user experience and utilise the space to deliver a more operationally efficient M&E performance.
Our design concept included a new open plan servery, designed in sweeping form and coordinating with the floor and ceiling design language. The new chef’s pass adjacent to the servery acts as theatre and has improved efficiency of food replenishment. Additionally, zoned eating spaces for students and faculty via improved traffic paths and modern sleek counters with LED lighting formed to navigate users efficiently through the servery.
Bright colours were applied through the servery timber feature display and wall mounted acoustic panels create an attractive engaging colourway for a student environment. The new exterior doors and windows with greater glass volume allowed for greater spills of daylight.
Overall, our design scheme has delivered a catering space that will stand the test of time and create a positive and engaging space for students.
